Success in India for TPAC from Constraint Technologies

Melbourne, 12th March 2008 - CTI announced that its partner, IBS PLC, has successfully implemented a new crew planning and management system using TPAC Modules from CTI.

At a recent press meet held in Bangalore, IBS has announced that their Crew Management System, AvientCrew, has gone live with Jet Airways. With this implementation, Jet Airways becomes the first Indian customer for IBS and also the first in the Indian aviation industry to use AvientCrew to handle mission-critical flight operations.

AvientCrew, a sophisticated crew management system, provides an integrated solution that enhances decision support capability to support the crew management needs of Jet Airways. Talking on the occasion, V K Mathews, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IBS, said "We are delighted to have an airline of the status of Jet Airways as our first Indian customer. We are encouraged that Jet Airways has seen the value of using a solution that will help them scale up to manage the increasing complexity of its crew operations as a result of flying to multiple domestic and international destinations. Our solutions are cost-effective and offer airlines the flexibility and scalability to gear their businesses to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market. We are confident that this will see a prelude to other airlines in India following suit. We feel that the rapidly growing Indian aviation industry is now ready for our new-generation products and solutions."

TPAC Pairing, TPAC Rostering and TPAC Rules from CTI are fully integrated within AvientCrew. This enables the seamless creation and publication of optimised crew pairings and rosters. Optimisation and automation of crew pairing and rostering is essential to deal with the complexity of running a modern airline, and delivers significant business benefits in terms of reduced operating costs.
